Our winter kale showing resilience during the frost
You’ve eaten all the mince pies and finished the Christmas spirits, and now you’re looking for a way to give back and get involved in a meaningful local project?
What better time, then, than to join us for our first volunteer day of 2017 as we scrub up the farm and welcome our new animals to SE1 from Jamie’s Farm in Wiltshire. There are beds to be dug and compost to be made, as well as tidying and giving everything a spring clean in deep mid-winter.
We’ll also be offering an induction to new volunteers who would like to sign up for our regular feeding rounds on the farm, as well as a refresher for seasoned volunteers.
- Time: 10am – 4pm
- Date: Saturday 7th January 2017
- Place: Oasis Farm Waterloo, 18 Carlisle Lane, Waterloo SE1 7LG
- Contact: Farmer Tim on 07747 278101 or email@example.com
A light and wholesome lunch will be provided for all volunteers. We can lend you overalls, wellies and gloves if you need them. No need to sign-up, just turn up on the day.
Our wonderful Christmas Fayre takes place on the farm on December 3rd.
Join Father Christmas and our farmyard animals as we transform the city farm into a festive feast for the eyes. It’s also a great time to meet our Christmas lambs and other recent farm arrivals.
Santa’s Grotto, music and carols, craft workshops, food stalls, cards and crafts, Christmas decorations, warming fire, hot food (featuring the farm’s own sausages!) hot and cold drinks and Farmer Tim’s secret mulled wine recipe.
Several stall places are available for the day – please email Farmer Tim to book.
Saturday 3rd December, 12pm until 4pm. Suggested adult donation, 50p.
For more information email us or call the farm on 07747 486208.
Join us for our monthly deep clean and dig day and spend the day making the farm look lovely. We need volunteers to help us with digging, cleaning and caring for the animals. We’ll also be getting ready for the Christmas Fair.
A healthy communal lunch will be served to all helpers.
Saturday 19th November, 10am until 4pm.
For more information email Farmer Tim or call him on 07747 486208.
