April Volunteering Day

Our next open volunteering session will be on Saturday April 1st (we promise!), 11am – 3pm. We’ll be cleaning out the animal pens, turning good compost into beds ready for planting, tidying up odds and ends and speculating on how much bigger it’s possible for the pigs to get!

We’ll hand out jobs on the day depending on interest and ability. There will be time to meet the animals meet new people. Under 18s must be accompanied by an adult. No prior skills required, make sure you wrap up warm, and bring thick socks – we’ll lend you some wellies.

Spring-Dig Shindig!

This Easter break we’re celebrating all things planting, sprouting and blooming on the farm.

Come and join our celebration by planting a seed to take home and grow, or making a bird nest feeder (we’ll explain), or taking part in our egg hunt challenge. Of course, there’ll be opportunities to meet our animals and a few farm fresh refreshments as well.

This is a free event and all are welcome. There’s no need to book but if you have any questions get in touch with us at farm@oasiswaterloo.org.

March Volunteer Day

Our next open volunteering session will be on Saturday March 4th, 11am – 3pm. We’ll be cleaning out the animal pens, getting the raised beds ready for planting, tiding up odds and ends and taking time to appriciate the daffodils!

We’ll hand out jobs on the day depending on interest and ability. There will be time to meet the animals meet new people. Under 18s must be accompanied by an adult. No prior skills required, make sure you wrap up warm, and bring thick socks – we’ll lend you some wellies.

February Volunteering Day

Our next open volunteering session will be on Saturday February 4th, 11am – 3pm. We know it’s dark and cold but spring will be on us before we know it and we need your help to get ready! We’ll be cleaning out the animal pens, repairing raised beds, shifting compost and maybe even starting to plant in the polytunnels.

We’ll hand out jobs on the day depending on interest and ability. There will be time to meet the animals meet new people. Under 18s must be accompanied by an adult. No prior skills required, make sure you wrap up warm, and bring thick socks – we’ll lend you some wellies.

January Volunteering Day

Our next open volunteering session will be on Saturday January 7th, 11am – 3pm. You are welcome to come down to the farm and help get 2023 off on the right foot! We’ll be cleaning out the animal pens, repairing raised beds, shifting compost and making sure our pigs (who arrived last week) are properly settled in and used to farm life!

We’ll hand out jobs on the day depending on interest and ability. There will be time to meet the animals and enjoy relaxing in our beautiful gardens. Under 18s must be accompanied by an adult. No prior skills required, make sure you wrap up warm, and bring thick socks – we’ll lend you some wellies.

December Volunteering day

Our next open volunteering session will be on Saturday 3rd December, 10.30am – 5pm. It’s a bit of a different vibe this month as we’re getting set up for our Christmas Fayre that afternoon. There’ll be some of the usual farming tasks to do but also lots of jobs setting up tables and decorating everything. The last half of the day will be supporting the Fayre itself but you’re welcome just to come for set up or sleep in and just come to help at the Fayre.

Volunteer jobs at the Fayre will include, helping visitors meet and learn about the animals, keeping the firepit going (and safe), helping on the bar or the door or supporting Luke with the running of the best baked potato stand in Lambeth!

We’ll hand out jobs on the day depending on interest and ability. There will be time to meet the animals and a festive warm drink for everyone at the end.Under 18s must be accompanied by an adult. No prior skills required, we’ll even lend you some wellies.

Christmas Fayre

Come and celebrate the festive season kicking off with Oasis Farm on the 3rd of December (1pm – 5pm). This will be the first time it’s been able to run at full capacity since 2019 and we are SO EXCITED!

There’ll be a Christmas market featuring local artists and community groups, opportunities to meet the animals, Christmas crafts, festive treats and maybe even a special visit from a friend in a red suit…

All welcome & there’s no need to book entry.

Harvest Festival

Harvest is one of the best times on the farm. On the 29th of October we’re inviting you all along to join us in craft workshops (pumpkin carving and macrame weaving), warm drinks (mulled apple juice & cider & more, fireside storytelling and an old fashioned sing-a-long. We’ll be celebrating from 3pm – 7.30pm

We’re also using this opportunity to collect goods for the Waterloo Foodbank who are preparing for what looks like a hard winter ahead.

It’s free to attend, though there is a small cost associated with the pumpkin carving and weaving workshops. Invite all your friends and join us for the most wholesome event this side of your Nan’s crochet club

October Volunteering Day

Our next open volunteering session will be on Saturday October 8th, 10am – 2pm (a little earlier than our standard hours!). You are welcome to come down to the farm and help us get set up for the arrival of Autumn! We’ll be cleaning out the animal pens, harvesting veggies, shifting compost and making sure we’ve got enough firewood to make it through all the fire-pits we’re going to have!

September Family Day

Oasis Farm is excited to be opening our gates for another fun day!

We’ll be open on Sunday 18th September from 1pm – 4pm for families (whether or not they include children, or even if they’re the kind of family that you get to choose) and anyone is welcome to wander through our gates to explore our space.

Come and enjoy the beginning of autumn at the farm, there’ll be animals to meet crafting to make and challenges to help you explore the space.
